Trump escalator has been the talk of the internet since the beginning of this week.
The hashtag #EscalatorGate has been trending on Twitter since the early hours of Wednesday morning, and has been retweeted over 1.7 million times.
This is despite the fact that it is unclear if the tweet was actually written by Trump himself, or a fake account.
Trump himself, however, has tweeted numerous times about escalators.
On Wednesday morning he tweeted: “Escalators are a problem.
They need to be redesigned.
I can’t even believe this escalator is still here!”
He later tweeted: I just installed one of the best escalators in the world.
I know it’s not good.
It’s not a good thing.
“But in a tweet on Thursday, Trump claimed to have “taken over the escalator at the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC”, and added: “This escalator was never installed in the first place by me, it was bought by the hotel from an outside vendor.
#TrumpInfluence”He later tweeted that the escalators are “fraudulent”, and “unacceptable”.
A spokesperson for Trump’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
Trump’s tweet was immediately criticised by many in the media, with one of his critics, Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos, tweeting that the tweet shows Trump “has a complete lack of self-awareness” and that “the only thing that matters in politics is winning”.
The escalator in question is a one-way escalator, which is a type of escalator that takes you to the ground by pulling you in and upwards by pulling up your skirt.
This escalator costs around $6,500 to purchase.
This escalators tendency to move in circles is part of what makes it so popular.
A video showing the escalater in action has been viewed over 1 million times since Trump first made the escalatorial joke on Twitter.
It’s not the first time Trump has made a joke about escalator issues.
In July, he tweeted that “there are a lot of escalators, but there are only a few escalators that are safe for use by the elderly”.
He then said “it is a real shame the President of the United States is unable to take a step on the escalatory ladder.”
Trump has also previously suggested that the Trump Hotel is “the safest hotel in the United Kingdom”, and that it has a “craziest escalator”.
Trump also claimed on Twitter that his company, Trump Entertainment Resorts, was the “safest hotel in America”, and a “total waste of money”.
In the US, a number of celebrities have also called for Trump to be banned from using escalators:In May, Trump also called on people to “go ahead and tweet a Trump escalater joke”, tweeting: “The escalators at the @TrumpInternational Hotel are not safe for the elderly.
I call on you to tweet a #TrumpEscalation joke.
