The first stage of a new escalator is scheduled to open at the Escalante Lodge in Villa del Monte in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It’s the latest in a series of improvements to the new escalators, which have been in use since early this year.

“We are looking forward to having our first escalators open at 1am (AEDT), as the weather has warmed and the sun is coming out,” said Steve O’Brien, chief operating officer for the resort.

“The escalators are much safer than they were before.”

It’s a testament to the commitment of our staff, who have put in so much time and effort to ensure that the escalators at Escalantes are ready to go on day one.

“The escalator in the Lodge has been a big success, with visitors and staff enjoying it.

The quality of the service has been excellent, and we are delighted that it has been accepted by the resort.”

The first escalater to open will be used to transport guests to and from the restaurant.

It will be fitted with a safety glass, a canopy and lighting.

“They will be operating under a new operating plan that will be in place for the next few weeks, and the first escalatory to be used will be the new one,” Mr O’Connor said.

“It is hoped that we can keep the existing one open and allow people to access the restaurant and other areas of the resort with ease.”

Once the first two escalators have been operated, they will be installed with additional lighting and safety glass to provide a more complete and pleasant experience for our guests.
